FiM Vila-seca is the Catalan professional fair dedicated to emerging music and family music shows. It was reborn in 2021, at a complex time for the sector, which made it very necessary to support live music. The response from the sector and the public was warm and enthusiastic.
FiM is both small and strategic. So is the emerging and independent segment of the Catalan music sector, an essential link in the scene, of which FiM is a showcase and marketplace. Equally fundamental is the small audience, a future and present audience, which is generating a growing demand for family culture and proposals for all audiences. For this reason, FiM offers emerging artists and family music shows in parallel, and is presented as a fair to be enjoyed by the whole family.
FiM Vila-seca is the recovery of a professional meeting point and a showcase of reference, which aims to contribute to the strengthening of the music sector at a time of crisis and fundamental challenges. The emerging segment is creatively very active and interesting at the moment, but it does not find enough exhibition spaces. On the other hand, the familiar music scene, the growth of demand and the demands of the public require more proposals and guarantee quality.
In this sense, the FiM advocates the cohesion and strategic cooperation of all the agents involved. And it wants to contribute to responding to the needs for exhibition spaces, professional contacts and support for creative innovation.
