PortAventura World is a really famous known fun fair and—according to National Geographic—the Best Amusement Park in the World 2018. Three theme parks, six integrated hotels and 2 associated hotels (one of those is the Vila Centric Hotel in Vila-seca), so that you can have a wonderfully unique experience, whether you’re with family or friends.
PortAventura Park
Its six theme-based areas will transport you to such exotic locales as China, Polynesia, the Wild West, Mexico, the Mediterranean and Sesame Street.
Each of these areas has tonnes of rides and attractions with different intensities that will thrill and excite you whether you are looking for shock and fright, or simply want to enjoy the park with your family. A total of over 40 rides that are complemented by nearly 15 different shows and performances that are presented several times a day.
Ferrari Land
The Ferrari Land theme park was opened in 2017 and has over 70,000m2 of excitement and adrenaline. Its star attraction is undoubtedly Red Force, the highest and fastest rollercoaster in Europe. In the few seconds that the ride lasts, it reaches 180 kilometres per hour and a height of 112 metres, an experience only for the most daring.
Further, the park opened a children’s area in 2018 where the kiddies will also squeal with delight on the rides adapted to their ages.
PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park
The leisure and entertainment offering in La Pineda also includes the PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park, with an area of over 50,000m2 of water fun. Decorated like a real Caribbean island, water covers some 8500m2 of the park and there are 16 rides, swimming pools and spectacular slides.
The park’s star attraction is definitely King Khajuna, the highest freefall slide in Europe and a challenge for even the boldest among you. You’ll also find amazing slides, with lots of curves and steep changes in slope. If you love these types of attractions, then the Rapid Race slide may be for you, a classic six-lane descent.
But Caribe Aquatic Park is also a great place for the children, as there are numerous attractions and swimming pools designed especially for them.
