Vila-seca is deeply involved and excited about a project that encompasses the creation of a cultural park between the two large facilities on the eastern side: the Vila-seca Castle, recently restored along with its gardens, and the Celler Noucentista complex, which will be modernised and fitted out so that it can be used for a wide range of cultural uses.
The purpose of these actions is to increase tourist competitiveness at this destination and to contribute to diversifying the offer and deseasonalising demand through an absolutely innovative project: turning the Celler, old winery, into a museum.
The project will be implemented in different phases and is being financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The new Celler Noucentista facility will be extraordinarily spacious, with an area of 3150m2 distributed over two storeys.
Action 1: restoration and overhaul
The main nave will be allocated for the creation of a multiuse hall with a wide range of different purposes, such as organising exhibitions, theatre productions, film screenings, conferences, dances, popular festivals, trade fairs and—above all—to house a museum space.
Action 2: creation of museum
Design and construction of a unique, surprising and exciting museum, aimed at creating impact with its intimate recent history and also for visitors from outside, to become another reason for people to visit our town for culture and tourism.
