Vila-seca experienced a great day of cycling with the finish of one of the stages of the 2026 Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, held as part of the 105th edition of this prestigious event on the international calendar.
The stage, starting from Mont-roig del Camp, passed through several municipalities of the Costa Daurada before reaching Vila-seca, where the finish line was located. Hundreds of fans gathered in the town’s streets to closely follow the arrival of the peloton and enjoy the festive atmosphere that usually accompanies this competition.
The race, part of the UCI World Tour calendar, brought together some of the best teams and cyclists on the international scene, turning the stage into a major sporting spectacle and a top-level media showcase for the region.
The arrival of the Volta in Vila-seca once again highlighted the municipality’s strong connection with cycling and major sporting events. The live television broadcast of the race and the presence of media outlets from around the world helped project the image of the municipality and the Costa Daurada internationally.
