03/10/2019Last Friday, September 20th, Vila-seca hosted the closing day of the Costa Daurada Life. 80 tourism professionals and 8 journalists from France have participated for three days, from the 18th to the 20th of September, in an innovative famtrip with unique experiences, from the approach of leisure and culture, as well as recreational, gastronomic and scenic landscapes to enjoy in first person the entire tourist offer on the Costa Daurada.
In addition, the convention rooms of the Hotel Gran Palas of La Pineda, where the group was housed, hosted a workshop in which thirty tourism companies from the hotel sector, campsites and apartments, as well as the sector of nautical and leisure. These companies explained their offer, products and services to the participants in the Costa Daurada Life.
During the three days, the group has been able to discover directly some of the most emblematic places of the Costa Daurada: Tarragona, Reus, Cambrils, Salou, Siurana and Poblet, as well as Port Aventura. On the last day, Friday 20th, the group visited the historic center of Vila-seca during a guided tour. During the tour, they stopped at the “Plaça de l’Església”, “Portal de Sant Antoni”, defense towers, the “noucentista” Cellar and the Castle of Vila-seca. There they were welcomed by the mayor of Vila-seca and president of the Municipal Tourism Board, Pere Segura, and the Councilor for Innovation and Tourism to give way to a closing meal.
The Costa Daurada Life has been organized by “Federació Empresarial d’Hostaleria i Turisme de la província de Tarragona (FEHT)” and the Tourist Board of “Diputació de Tarragona, Costa Dorada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca” in the tourist promotion plan from the Costa Daurada and, especially, from the municipalities of the center, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca. At the same time, the Costa Daurada Life has had the collaboration of the office that the “Agència catalana de Turisme” has in Paris.
