23/10/2023Vila-seca is promoting the destination at the French trade fair IFTM Top Resa, in Paris, from 3 to 5 October. This is one of the last promotional actions of 2023, through the Joint Promotion Plan of the Hotel and Tourism Business Federation (FEHT) and the Tourist Boards of the Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca Provincial Councils.
The IFTM Top Resa is the most important tourism trade fair for professionals in France. The French market is the foreign market with the most visitors to the destination and, this year, its recovery has been complete. Thus, during this 2023 on the Costa Dorada, the French market has made a similar number of overnight stays as it did in 2019. Once the market has recovered, now the aim of these promotional activities in France is to inform tour operators, travel agencies and representatives of the employees of large companies of the new features that both employers and Tourist Boards are already working on for the 2024 season.
Fifth attendance at the IFTM in Paris
Through the Joint Promotion Plan, the FEHT and the Tourist Boards of the Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca Provincial Councils are attending the IFTM Top Resa trade fair for the fifth year with their own stand, a place designed to enable business owners and managers of the tourist boards to explain their products and services to French professionals, establish new contacts and strengthen existing ones.
Representing Vila-seca was Lluïsa Clavé, president of the Vila-seca Municipal Tourist Board, while the private sector was represented by companies such as PortAventura World, Best Hotels, Estival Grup, Oh!tels, Blaumar Group, Nautic Parc, Olympia Group, Calafell Evasion, among others.
PortAventura World, strategic partner of the FEHT, has a prominent presence at the stand where its sales team and also Woody, the park’s famous mascot, have a space for their professional meetings.
Second edition of the workshop for CSE on the Costa Dorada
The other promotional action that is also taking place from 3 to 5 October is the second edition of the workshop “Recontres des CSE”, meetings of the Economic and Social Committees of France, held at the PortAventura Convention Centre. Thus, more than 500 elected officials of the CSE, representing some 250 large and medium-sized companies, come to the Costa Dorada to learn about the destination, its establishments and tourist packages that can offer them.
Through the Joint Promotion Plan, the FEHT and the Tourist Boards of the Tarragona Costa Daurada, Salou, Cambrils and Vila-seca Provincial Councils attend the workshop with their own stand to meet with representatives of the CSEs and provide them with all the information about the destination. Subsequently, the CSEs prepare subsidised tourist packages for the employees of their companies.
