Vila-seca kicks off its 2026 promotional calendar with its participation in FITUR, the International Tourism Fair, which will take place from 21 to 25 January at IFEMA Madrid, within the Diputació de Tarragona’s Corner Agreement, at a stand of the Catalan Tourist Board alongside other destinations from the Costa Daurada.
FITUR is a key meeting point for tourism professionals and destinations from around the world, a unique platform to showcase Vila-seca’s tourism offer and establish synergies with international operators and institutions. In this year’s edition, in addition to technical staff from the Municipal Tourism Board, the Mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, will also attend and take part in various institutional and professional meetings. He has highlighted that “Vila-seca’s presence at FITUR is an opportunity to strengthen the destination’s positioning in an increasingly competitive market, to promote a tourism model based on quality and sustainability, and to establish partnerships that will continue to generate economic and development opportunities for the municipality”.
At FITUR, Vila-seca presents its tourism offer focused on family, cultural, gastronomic and experiential tourism, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and innovation. The main objective of its participation is to consolidate its position as a benchmark destination and to establish partnerships with tour operators to attract new international visitors, especially from emerging markets.
On this occasion, Vila-seca, la Pineda Platja will highlight its commitment to sports tourism, with a particular focus on cycling. The destination, certified in cycle tourism by the Catalan Tourist Board since 2019, will have a strong presence at top-level cycling events such as the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya, where Vila-seca will host a stage finish. This positioning reinforces Vila-seca’s image as an ideal setting for both professional competitions and amateur cycling, thanks to its infrastructure, climate and natural surroundings.
