The number of submissions remains in line with the figures reached in 2025, during the celebration of the festival\u2019s tenth anniversary, when more than 1,100 short films were entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase in the number of represented countries also highlights FICVI\u2019s growing international appeal. Year after year, the festival continues to establish itself as a meeting point for filmmakers, production companies and audiovisual professionals from around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Organised by the Vila-seca Municipal Tourism Board, FICVI will hold its 11th edition from 17 to 25 October 2026 at the Celler de Vila-seca. During the festival, audiences will enjoy a selection of the finest national and international short films through a programme that combines emerging talent with acclaimed productions from the international festival circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the close of submissions, the selection committee will now begin the screening process to choose the short films that will compete in the Official Section.
