Vila-seca has several urban areas where families and friends can gather and relax to enjoy their free time with their families and friends. The public parks of Vila-seca, la Pineda Platja are equipped with everything you need for a fun and safe exercise session: children’s playgrounds – designed for all ages – equipment for a great workout in the great outdoors, fitness equipment and equipment for the elderly, machines for practicing calisthenics, benches, trash bins, water fountains and so-much more.
Most parks in Vila-seca and La Pineda Platja have children’s playgrounds with swings, seesaws and slides. And some even have an area for doing physical exercise.
Pinar de Perruquet, Hort del Pep, Aragalls, Austràlia, Riera, Pont de l’Art, Arenes, Tanca and Prats parks are just a few that you could visit during your stay in our town.
Formiga and Hort del Pep Parks in Vila-seca and Prats Park in La Pineda have recently been expanded and improved with the addition of new facilities and installations. In Formiga Park, with the aim of improving accessibility and expanding the children’s playground, you can also find games adapted to people with reduced mobility.
And at Prats Park, located between Plácido Domingo and Amadeu Vives streets on the seafront, the ‘Oceanic Dome’ is a three-dimensional rope game, a modern play space whose design drew inspiration from its seaside setting. In the Parc del Pinar de Perruquet there is one with a seafaring theme, which incorporates a manta fish reminiscent of the Roman mosaic of the village of Cal-lípolis, a lighthouse as a nautical symbol surrounded by hemispheres that simulate the reefs of the Racó de la Pineda beach, two dolphins with two boats and a fisherman’s hut.
The seaside promenade of La Pineda has several areas for playing different sport disciplines with varying intensity levels. This includes the design of new street workout areas for calisthenics; an obstacle course; an outside gymnasium with a whole range of different equipment; as well as a senior gym, designed specifically for the elderly; and a new children’s playground in Pinar de Perruquet Park designed for the kiddies.
