The new seafront promenade in La Pineda continues to generate great excitement among residents and visitors alike. Hundreds of people took part on May 16 in the presentation event for the redevelopment and renaturalisation project of the seafront area, an initiative that will comprehensively transform this emblematic stretch of Vila-seca’s coastline.
The celebration brought together thousands of attendees, who enjoyed performances by companies and groups such as Circ Bover; Le Poisson Soluble; Picto Facto; Txaranga Band Tocats, winner of the National Brass Band Festival; the Premohs collective; Tocats de La-La; Pistacatro, winner of the 2025 National Circus Award; and Zen del Sur, recipient of the 2025 Lorca Award and the 2026 FETEN Award.
Meanwhile, the institutional event, held at Hotel Gran Palas and chaired by the Mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, and the Deputy Government Delegate, Elisabet Romero, included the presentation of a timelapse video showing the progress of the works. The event was also attended by several local authorities and organisations, as well as councillors from the Municipal Council.
The redevelopment of the promenade marks an important step in transforming La Pineda into a more welcoming, modern and future-ready space. In addition to urban and environmental improvements, the project includes new leisure areas, green spaces, upgraded street furniture and areas dedicated to sports and family activities.
The high level of participation recorded during the presentation highlights the strong interest of residents, business owners and visitors in a project that will shape the future of La Pineda’s seafront and strengthen Vila-seca, La Pineda Platja as a high-quality, sustainable and family-friendly tourist destination.
