PortAventura World is preparing to open its doors next May 15, after the last conversations held with the departments of the Generalitat de Catalunya responsible for PROCICAT, Salut and Interior. The announcement coincided with the 26th anniversary of the park.
PortAventura World will start its activity with the opening of PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. Carib Aquatic Park will open its doors on June 23th. From the same day, May 15th, the hotels HotelColorado Creek, Hotel PortAventura and Hotel Gold River will also open their doors.
With the aim of protecting the health of clients and employees to the maximum, all the safety, social distance and hygiene measures stipulated by the authorities and certified by external auditors have been taken, including the recent approval by PROCICAT of the sectorial plan for theme parks and attractions. In this context, PortAventura World has received the “Safe Travels” award, the first global seal of approval for travel and tourism safety and hygiene.
Innovations in the offer and commitment to digitization
New for this 2021 season will be the presentation of the new Sesame Street character, Big Bird, and a new Shrek meet and greet that will premiere on June 23th. Starting on May 29th, the show Around the World will also be performed at the Gran Teatre Imperial de la Xina.
In line with the objective of improving the experience of its visitors, the company is immersed in a process of digital acceleration to continue offering a quality service, as well as responding to the needs of the current context and becoming a benchmark in its sector.
This commitment to technology will also be reflected this season in PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land with an access scanner to attractions with the Express Service.
