Vila-seca today presented a gourmet tasting route that will kick off on Thursday 20 April. Dgusta Vila-seca is a gastronomic event organised by the Vila-seca-La Pineda Hotel and Catering Business Association, the Patronat Municipal de Turisme and the Ajuntament de Vila-seca (Vila-seca Town Council), with the participation of a total of 19 catering establishments in Vila-seca and La Pineda.
The conference was presented by the mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, together with Juan Hervás, president of the AEH Vila-seca-La Pineda. Pere Segura highlighted the Dgusta route as a springboard “to project Vila-seca in the world of gastronomy and thus become a culinary reference point for the surrounding towns”. For his part, Juan Hervás thanked the Ajuntament (Town Council) and the Patronat de Turisme for their collaboration, adding that “we have excellent gastronomy; that’s why we want to show it and join forces for Vila-seca and our gastronomy, giving it its own identity”.
The tastings and pairings will be served every Thursday evening (from 20 April) and will cost 6 euros. It is envisaged that they will continue throughout the year, although there will be a short break in the summer to meet the demands of the high season.
Customers who wish to take part in Dgusta Vila-seca will be able to obtain a “passport” in which the stamps of all the establishments visited will be accumulated in order to finally obtain a gift from Bodegas Yzaguirre who, together with the Port of Tarragona, are collaborators in the event.
The establishments participating in Dgusta Vila-seca are the following:
