13/02/2023The municipalities of Cambrils, Reus, Salou and Vila-seca are once again participating jointly in the fair held in Madrid from 18 to 22 January.
FITUR 2023, with more than 66,000 m² of exhibition space, kicks off the sector’s calendar of professional trade fairs, and the towns of Salou, Cambrils, Vila-seca and Reus have a prominent presence on the Catalan stand.
Along with the Costa Dorada and PortAventura World space, the Tourist Boards and organisations responsible for promoting tourism in the municipalities of the Aliança have a space at FITUR for professional meetings, which they make available to companies and businesspeople from the area travelling to Madrid. In addition, these municipalities have prominent visibility with images of the municipalities, as well as QR codes that redirect to the most important tourist information.
The assessment by the political leaders of Salou, Pere Granados; Cambrils, Oliver Klein; Reus, Montserrat Caelles; and Vila-seca, Cristina Cid has been very positive for an edition that has been highlighted by the remarkable influx of businessmen confirming the consolidation and recovery of the sector for the season 2023.
The large influx of companies from the region and the large number of contacts made endorse the determination of the Tourist Board to offer a special working area to promote meetings and contacts, to meet new suppliers and customers, strengthen business relationships and multiply business opportunities.
FITUR is the first major milestone in the promotional calendar of the four municipalities of the Costa Dorada, which will be followed by other projects from next February, which will be joined by PortAventura World.
131 countries present and more than 8,500 exhibitors are clear figures of the size of FITUR 2023.
Promotional activities for destinations in different source markets are key to maintaining and increasing the number of visitors to the region. The Aliança’s 2023 calendar of actions represents an overall budget of more than 60,000 euros.
