Vila-seca starts its 2025 tourism promotion with its presence at FITUR

On January 23rd, during the FITUR tourism fair in Madrid, SEGITTUR awarded the Vila-seca City Council the Smart Tourist Destination (STD) distinction for the 2024-2026 period. This recognition certifies that Vila-seca has begun its transformation into a smart tourist destination, working to improve the competitiveness and quality of its offer in five key areas: governance, innovation, technology, sustainability, and accessibility.
With this smart and digital management model, Vila-seca is committed to sustainable tourism development, adding value and distinguishing itself as a leading destination in the sector.
The award ceremony was attended by the president of the Vila-seca Tourism Board, Lluïsa Clavé, along with the councillors for Innovation and Territorial Services, Cristina Cid, and for La Pineda and Beaches Affairs, Esmeralda Núñez, who received the recognition on behalf of the municipality.
This achievement positions Vila-seca as a benchmark for innovative and sustainable tourism, consolidating its place at the forefront of smart destinations and reaffirming its commitment to quality tourism that respects the environment and meets the needs of visitors and residents.
