Vila-seca, la Pineda Platja promotes the destination with a sustainable tourism campaign

This morning the conference “De mar a muntanya, gastronomic degustation Vila-seca – La Pineda” has been presented at the Pinar del Perruquet Park, in La Pineda.
The conference is organised by the Association of Hotel and Catering Businesses of Vila-seca – La Pineda and has the collaboration of the Town Council of Vila-seca, the Patronat Municipal de Turisme and the sponsorship of San Miguel.
The Mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, opened the presentation by recalling that “a year ago we presented the association at a very complex time and it has led to today: its first conference. As mayor, I am delighted with the ambition of the AEH Vila-seca – La Pineda because if you want projects to go far, you have to do them together”.
Juan Hervás, president of the AEH Vila-seca – La Pineda, stressed that “after many months of inactivity, we are starting to pick up the pace and we continue to promote the sector with gastronomic events like this one”.
Entitled De Mar a Muntanya, the conference aims to highlight the link between Vila-seca and La Pineda, between the coast and the inland, between the sea and the mountains. Beyond the product, “for the AEH Vila-seca – La Pineda it is very important that we grow together; we want to unite them in business and gastronomically”, said Hervás.
Along the same lines, the Patronat Municipal de Turisme de Vila-seca is offering diners free use of the bus that connects Vila-seca and La Pineda. All those who use it to travel to the coastal or inland restaurants just have to scan the QR code that they will find on all the graphic elements of the conference or show the icon on the landing page https://aeht.es/jornades-gastronomiques/de-mar-a-muntanya-2021/ to the driver. This is a free service both for people who live in the town and for those who travel from other municipalities.
The event has 11 participating restaurants, will begin on 27 May and will last until 13 June. During these days, the restaurants will participate by offering gastronomic tastings at a price ranging from 18 to 35 € and including an Alhambra Reserva 1925 beer.

Cristina Cid, Councillor for Innovation and Tourism, stressed that “we will always lend a hand to the hotel and catering trade and we will continue to support the reactivation of one of the most important economic engines of our region”.
