The Priorat district is located on the Catalan pre-coastal mountain range, with craggy cliffs that make it perfect for rock climbing and hiking. The Montsant Sierra and its natural park merit mention, as well as the sierras of Argentera, Jover i Llaberia and Llena.
The historic towns of Siurana, Albarca, Falset and Escaladei are must-sees for visitors, due to their age-old traditions, narrow winding streets and scenic beauty.
The Priorat is also world famous for its wines with the Quality Designation of Origin Priorat and for the progressively better known Designation of Origin Montsant, as well as its splendid Designation of Origin Siurana olive oils.
